Before the Year of the Ox began, I found myself surrounded by... paper.
Seriously, paper is the number one waste product I have collected over the years. And I've definitely googled (more than a couple of times) what to do with all of it. I found paper crafts that emphasize reusing paper of all kinds, like beading and mache. This aligned with the guiding principle of 'jagaardment,' which roughly translates to the 'how' of raia's actions, combining Panjabi's 'jagaard' + French's 'ment,' suffix. In Hinglish, that roughly translates to 'jugaad-ly.' Note: I'm obsessed with proper nouns, pronouns, phonics, iteration and modularization. Beads represent the freedom to create larger pieces, which we'll get to in a later post on more pieces that inspire. For now, here are some brilliant inspiration points, and a couple websites they were discovered on. |
